iGoli PGS: An Organic Agrihub in Gauteng
iGoli PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) has grown into a robust network of organic farmers dedicated to providing high-quality, organically grown food to communities in Gauteng.
Formerly known as Bryanston PGS, and born from the pioneering efforts of the Bryanston Organic Market in 2005, the group has evolved to include farms across a wider geographical area, including Midrand, the Cradle of Humankind, and South Johannesburg.
iGoli PGS has expanded to include over 20 farmers, and its network continues to grow annually. Farmers within the group adhere to the highest ethics and standards of PGS offering two labels of assurance, PGS Organic and PGS Organic In Conversion. PGS certification ensures that our farmers’ produce fulfills the standards of both organic principles, and the conscious consumer’s trust.
As iGoli PGS continues to grow, it remains committed to developing a sustainable, scalable model for organic farming and food distribution. By fostering a strong community of practice, iGoli PGS is transforming the food system, regenerating soils, and preserving biodiversity for the future.
